Thanks for stopping by. I’m a creative professional who has a passion for creating unique and colorful portraits. Please take a minute to check out my work and connect with me.
I have been practicing digital photography for 15 years and film before that. I have a degree in graphic communications and photography. My style is crafted around my obsession with color. I love creating bold, cinematic, and vibrant images using a mix of natural and artificial lighting. I travel throughout New England to create unique portraits.
In addition to my portrait work, I own Breakout Photography. Breakout is an athletic and dance photography company that covers local youth sports and dance studio picture days and events. We do things a little differently – the images are professional studio quality and the finals are provided online for parents to order.
If you are interested in my work and would like to hire me for a custom portrait session, please contact me. I design each individual session around the needs and taste of my clients. You can find my work on Facebook, Flickr, 500px and SmugMug.
Before diving into photography, I was busy designing products and applications for both paper and pixel. While working a 40 hour week, I earned a degree in Graphic Communications and have since been employed in nearly all levels of design and print. Out of college I developed numerous websites for both private business and as personal projects. A couple projects to note were New England Getaway an online travel agency (2002) and Thirty Magazine a social magazine for men (2010). Both projects were built from a simple idea and then developed into profitable online publications (both are under new ownership). I have also built and sold several domains and social websites, with a long list of new projects sure to keep me busy for the next 100 years.
While I admit to be somewhat of an online junkie and social media addict, my first love was in print. It all started in high school with an internship shooting negatives and “stripping” for a service bureau. I have dedicated over 15 years of my life to learning the fundamentals of true graphic arts. While the world revolves around the mobile web, I love the feeling of type on paper.
I currently reside in the hills of Central Massachusetts where I was born. I enjoy the quiet life of a small farm-town with my wife and three kids. I like to travel the roads of New England whenever possible. I volunteer my time to coach Little League Baseball in the spring and soccer in the fall/winter. I provide my creative skills to help the Rutland Little League Baseball board and local Boy Scouts. I am a fan of Boston sports, iced coffee, Apple products, Chevy Trucks, adventure, and the Sunday Paper.
